Conveying equipment transports material from one station of the wood pellet mill to another. They can be designed to operate horizontally, on a slope, or vertically to different floors of a building. Requirements for elevators and conveyors depends on how automated the mill is to be and on the layout of the plant.

The modern pellet
mill is highly dependent on conveying equipment, often using pneumatic systems to minimize labor needs and to maximize the use of land by building multi-story, rather than horizontally arranged, plants. |

Airlocks:
locks air, and release powder and granulated materials into designated receptacles. |

Belt
Conveyors: The belt conveyor is used to transfer both the raw material and the final product. It can be combined with other transfer equipment to build different transfer lines for mass production.
It is basically a conveyor consisting of two or more pulleys in a continuous loop. Either one or both of the pulleys are powered and the belt which move at pace of the materials to transfer them further along the wood pellet making process. |

Bucket
elevators: Bucket elevators are designed to gently transport a wide variety of products, both horizontally and vertically, in a way that avoids damage. More often, it is used to lift raw materials up a level.

Screw
Conveyors: Screw conveyorsScrew conveyors are used to convey materials such as bulk solids or sludge, both horizontally and at high inclinations, and are designed to provide an enclosed method of transferring materials from one point to another. It consists of a screw inside a hollow pipe, contained within a tube and it is turned with the help of a motor in order to deliver material from one end of the conveyor to the other. |
