Flat Die Wood Pellet Mill
Wood pellets now play an important role in both providing efficient fuel and protecting environment for its renewability. If you are troubled by the high price of winter fuel, you can consider making your own energy with a flat die wood pellet mill. The flat die wood pelleting machine developed by GEMCO is one popular type among many various types of wood pellet machines. Pellets produced by our pellet mill can discharge as high calorie as usual fuels. Adding with the low cost of making pellets from various materials, it is worth for each family owning.
Flat die wood pellet mill has many different kinds like driven motor and appearance.
As its name suggests, flat die wood pellet mill works under the running of the main components—dies and rollers. During pelletizing, the die of this mill will turn while rollers keep stationary. By this, a great force will be produced to compress raw materials into die holes. After a knife cut the columned granules to uniform length, wood pellets are finished and will come out from the mill.
There is a wide application of raw materials, such as wood, sawdust, alfalfa, etc. All the forestry and agricultural scraps can be made to small wood pellets. But different materials have different request to moisture and size. Generally, moisture of raw material is near 15%. Under this situation, pellets produced will have perfect quality. But materials whose lignin or sugar content is high will need less moisture. For the size of raw materials, it should be no longer than the diameter of die holes. For example, if the diameter of die hole is 6mm, while the size of raw materials is near 8mm, there will be accumulation or even damage inside the pellet mill.
